The Essence HUD Guide

How to Use the HUD:

• Add the HUD. It will appear on your screen.
• Click the center of the HUD where it says "The Essence".
• Buttons below the Ouroborus:
• 1st Button: Your personal stats
• 2nd Button: Scanner (scans all within 4 meters)
• 3rd Button: Gather Essence
• 4th Button: Go to website
• 5th Button: Change HUD colors

How to Play:

• Click the red circle with the castle labeled "The Essence" each time you log in.
• Get within 4 meters of another avatar, then click the Ouroborus to forge them.
• Move a few meters away and scan (2nd button) to check their Essence.
• Use the 3rd button to gather Essence. The Ouroborus will spin during gathering.

Other Notes:

• You cannot Gather Essence from other Originals. You may however, transfer Essence using The Book of Essence Transfer.).
• Your actions influence your Or'e (see website under "active players").

• This is a non-combat game. Players cannot die but can lose essence.
• Goals: High scores, explore lore, and enjoy the vampire universe.
• Essence regeneration: Humans regenerate 1 essence per day up to a certain amount if scanned.
• If you drain a human to 0 Essence they become Sapped and your Or'e will be decreased until you purchase a Spirit of Redemption to remove the Sapped.
• There are 8 Essence types that are possessed by all beings and determined at the time of birth. Denoted by ordered Blood Types: O+, A+, B+, AB+, O-, A-, B-, AB-.
• Races Stats here.
• Human Races: Freeman 98%, Minion less than 1%, Black Swan less than 1%, Blood Doll less than 1%, Familiar less than 1%, Uncanny less than 1%, Thrall (exceedingly rare)
• You lose a small percentage plus 10 of Essence/day which can be negated with Grounding. Originals with NEGATIVE Essence (Inactive) will be removed from time to time without $L compensation for items purchased. Thralls are allowed to have 0 Essence
• Wisdom Levels:
  Clever- Canny- Foresightful- Reflective- Tactful- Shrewd- Insightful- Pragmatic- Clairvoyant- Astute- Acute- Perspicuous- Sapient- Oracular- Lucid- Transcendent- Gnostic- Enlightened- Omniscient
• The Reliquary: What you can do with this magical object is store Essence in it. IT will accept 5000 drops of Essence at a time. It is intended to store Essence generated by Thralls for later transfer to their Masters. Each player, Original or Minion needs their very own reliquary and each reliquary stores an unlimited amount! The great benefit of this is that stored Essence never evaporates. It is not subject to any loss ever. Each reliquary stores an unlimited amount. Stored Essence has no effect on your Stats. Each day a small amount of Essence is generated but you can only remove what you place into the Reliquary. On the web page you will see a column next to Essence names Reliquary. This will show everyone how much you have stored. There maybe other hidden bonuses to having and using a reliquary.

Pro Tips:

• Pick your race or send Essence using a book.
• Try to keep your F:E ratio low (Forged Number/Essence Value); i.e if you Gather from what you Forge and the F:E remains low. Forge without Gathering the F:E increases. This *may* have effect on Or'e.
• Once a Gathering cycle begins you may move away or even TP out - the cycle will continue until it ends. Just make sure your target is healthy.
• Use the Spirit of Redemption to remove accidental Sapped from your record.
• You may find that Gather rates vary on special holidays and weekends.
